I just got the shirts and book ("Geckos" by Julie Bergman) the other day. I got a chance to sit down and start reading the book... it is awesome! I recommend it to every beginning reptile enthusiast. I've had crested geckos for about a year, and they are great beginner reptiles. The book is really detailed and I love how it states what type of enthusiast the reptile is recommended for. For everyone interested in buying an extremely healthy, high quality leopard gecko, Gecko Ranch is THE best place to go. I had never owned any type of reptile before, but I heard that leopard geckos were good starter reptiles, so I started searching for a good breeder over the internet. After sifting through countless internet breeders, one in particular stood out. Julie Bergman and her Gecko Ranch. I emailed her to ask some simple care questions, and she responded very kindly, in depth, and within the hour. I knew she was definitely the right one. I bought a two month old hi-yellow jungle female. The next morning, I awoke to a gecko on the doorstep. I promptly opened her very well padded box and saw her peering up through the clear lid of her transportation tub, which was very well furnished with soft padding. Any worries I had about ordering a Gecko over the internet instantly vanished. The pictures shown on the website do not even show half the geckos true beauty!! I put her in her terrarium, and she settled right in and by the next day, she was readily exploring her terrarium and eating all the food I offered her. We named her Artemis, after the Greek goddess of the moon. I often enter my room to find family members bending over her terrarium cooing softly about how beautiful and cute she is. She also has a very curious personality, going to investigate every little movement and noise in her habitat. She also loves to explore my room whenever I let her out on her “supervised explorations” I frequently email Julie questions, and I always get a very kind, helpful and in depth answer, in very little time. I am overall extremely satisfied, and rather surprised she doesn’t put all other northern California leopard gecko sales out of business!!!

I would highly recommend the Gecko Ranch to anyone looking to purchase a happy, and healthy leopard gecko. After having previously purchased our first two geckos from a local pet store and having had a very sad experience – we found Julie’s Gecko Ranch online. There were many breeders to choose from and the idea of buying a living thing online, across the country was very daunting. However, after speaking with Julie I felt confident that she was indeed a professional and would provide us with a quality leopard gecko to add to our family. The hardest part about the process was deciding which gecko to choose!!!

Our “Lilly” arrived last Thursday and I have to say how relived we were to see the UPS driver coming up the driveway carefully holding our new little gecko. Hi! Just wanted to touch base with you and tell you how much we love our new Gecko...GoGo.
She is now famous. I am a pre-school teacher and she recently went with me to class for a day. I bought a travel terrarium and put a warmer on the side and off we went. Needless to say, my 20 kids are in love. Since she visited, her picture has been drawn countless times and I have to give them an update on her daily. In fact, I took a picture of her and it sits on one of my shelves so that they can see her.
I thought you'd like to know that she is getting more love than she knows what to do with. Thank you for sending us a sweet and healthy girl. We love her.

Hi, Julie! Thank you very much for your careful delivery of our beautiful Leona. She is one awesome Leopard Gecko. She is healthy, eating well, and lounging comfortably in her "casa de Leona!" We got her a 20 gallon aquarium with all of the bells and whistles, and she is living large. Her favorite spot in under a log in some moss where the undertank heater radiates warmth. I have fed her mealworms, which she slurped up, and a cricket or two. The more it wiggles, the better she likes it! Anyways, you made my holiday, and my daughter is madly in love. I ordered the Crested Gecko Diet from Julie. Before I placed my order I called her to see how long the shipping would be. She promised to get it in the mail the next day (I was placing my order at night). She not only got it in the mail the next day, but it arrived at my door the day after that! I also had some other questions, which Julie took the time to answer and when she didn't know the answer to a question I had regarding a specific light bulb, she referred me to someone else. All in all the experience was very positive and I will look forward to doing business with her again!

After extensive research, it was apparent you were the breeder from whom I should purchase my geckos. The hard part was chosing from your "available" leopards. They all looked sooo beautiful. After choosing my two and placing my order, I received a phone call from you because my email address was not working.(I'm sure I put the address in incorrectly.) Even over the phone I could here the love of your geckos and the genuineness that told me I was purchasing from the right breeder. You answered my questions promptly. If everyone ran their business like Julie Bergman the world would be a better place. About 9 months ago I bought a young pair (male & female) of Leopard geckos from the Gecko Ranch. At that time, Julie notified me that at their young age, it's sometimes very difficult to determine the sexes of the gecko. She told me that if she had either sex wrong she would send me another gecko of the right sex. About 7 or 8 months later, Julie was proactive and sent me an email saying that at that point, I should be able to determine if my male actually was one and suggested that if I wasn't sure to send me some pictures of the gecko in question for her to review. I did so and Julie determined that Homer was actually Marge. She immediately sent me a beautiful male gecko of the same quality as the ones I had purchased (at no extra charge). Julie doesn't know this yet but he immediately got to work on my females and at this moment I have my first two eggs in an incubator. So, for Julie to go out of her way to contact me so many months later to make sure that I got what I purchased is indicative of all the dealings I have had with her including very quick responses to any questions I've sent her via email. I could not give Julie a higher recommendation for anyone considering making a purchase from her.

Julie, Let me start out by saying WOW, our Leopard Geckos we received from you were just amazing, I hate to say this but your pictures just didn't do them justice. They were just so colorful and pretty, my daughter received a diamondback and son's was a high normal contrast. Not only are the so colorful but also they have such exciting personalities, and yes I used the word personality. They took about a week to settle in and since then we have notice they each have their own way to act with us. I say this because the 2 geckos we received from you are our 2nd and 3rd, the 1st came from a pet store (sorry admit this) and has a mild, if any personality. My son's, we call him stripes, is just fun to watch as he always wants to know what you're doing. Whenever I go in my son's room he seems to watch you as you come in and walk around, I know this sounds funny but its true. The geckos are not the only thing thats great about what you get when ordering from you, its the support after the sale that has been the best thing. You have an incredible knowledge of geckos and are always willing to share it whenever I have called (and I have called and e-mailed you alot). After buying the one gecko from the Pet Store and going back to ask questions, which depending on who was working, was how well if any my question was answered I really have appreciated what you have done for us. Here is an example of how you are willing to go above and beyond to help your customers, the gecko we bought at the pet store laid two eggs (before we put her with the male we order from you) and you were VERY helpful in what to do to the eggs so someday we may have babies. I can't say enought how we appreciate all that you have done for us and would tell anyone that if your thinking of buying a Gecko, get it at the Gecko Ranch. Not only are they the best looking Geckos that I have seen on the web, but Julie has been so helpful and supportive after the sale.

Hi Julie, "Nala" arrived in perfect health ! You did an excellent job of packing, it was nice and warm inside her box. We couldn't be happier ! My daughter was extremely excited and relieved that she was OK. Nala is a beautiful Hi Yellow Lavender Gecko, and she has a nice fat tail ! She was very happy to get out of her temporary shipping container and eager to check out her new digs. She is checking out everything in her terrarium by walking and tasting. She doesn't quite know what to do with the glass walls, as she is trying to climb them on all four sides (to no avail). I suppose this behaviour will stop fairly soon, once she realizes what glass is ! Also, Julie has the shipping thing down to an art. They were packed so well that even if the box had been turned upsidedown, the leo's wouldn't have been hurt. She doesn't disappear after the sale either. I've had a few questions come up, and she's been most helpful. Some other breeders didn't even guarantee health beyond arrival (Gecko Ranch has a 30-day health guarantee). I would order again from this place without hesitation.

My first E-mail inquiry was answered in mere moments, with each question I had posed answered individually and quite satisfactorily. Having even more questions, I quickly placed a call to California where a very cheerful Julie Bergman answered those as well. Within minutes, our order was placed - and I have to tell you I have never felt so confident ordering anything, much less an animal. Julie made sure she knew EVERY possible way to get ahold of us in the event something went wrong.

Not only did everything go right - it went just GREAT. Our newest gecko arrived healty, happy, surprisingly unstressed and right on schedule. The packing job was superb (more than ample space for the critter) and I’m sure the animal had a better trip from California than I did last time I flew back from there! We had been hesitant to go the mail order route when it came to live animals. We checked out the Gecko Ranch Web site and called to check on the current availibility of African Fat-tailed Geckos. We talked to Julie Bergman, whom we had met at the show. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable. She knew exactly what we were looking for (Striped Fat-Tails), and she explained their shipping process thoroughly. I also liked the convenience of being able to use a credit card instead of having to mess with money orders like with most breeders. Well, the 3 geckos we ordered arrived right on time and we could'nt have been happier. They were healthy, well cared for, beautiful animals, all with great dispositions, unlike most of the animals in the pet stores. We were so happy that we checked back that day to see if they had another female, which of course they did.
